David Carl Mayfield was raised in Texas, and played music all his life. His father Edd Mayfield was part of the Original Bill Myrick and The Mayfield Brothers Bluegrass Band. (Bill Myrick, Smokey Mayfield, Herb Mayfield and Edd Mayfield).

Edd later played with Bill Monroe.

David played all the instruments on this CD, (Banjo, Mandolin, Guitar, Fiddle, Piano and Drums) and wrote all the lyrics, except 2 I helped co-write with him. They were recorded here in our home in the recording studio. We have 2 Bluegrass CDs to list soon, and another one he is working on. All Music and Lyrics are Copyrighted, and Registered with ASCAP.
